My husband comes from a hunting background. Thankfully, we've been able to avoid antlers in our house - but his parents house?: yikes! Next time I visit I think Ill hang some jewelry on them :) oxoxo Denalee
The only "vegetarian" antlers are picked up on the ground in February when the bucks have just shed them. At the base end is the flat rough nub that was attached to the skull. Any antler attached to bone is from a murdered deer (or one that died naturally).
